From Concept to Curtain Call : Joseph

In October, Production LX had the pleasure of working with Stamps Theatre to bring Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat to life at The Core Theatre, Solihull.

Five years in the making and first imagined during lockdown, this production was a real journey from initial concept through to finally being performed in front of an audience. Our team worked across multiple technical departments to help turn that vision into a fully realised theatre production.

Full Technical Production Support

Production LX provided a complete technical package for the show, covering rigging, lighting, staging, set and sound.

Our rigging package included an overhead truss system that moved live during the performance, adding a dynamic element to the production.

For lighting, we provided the lighting design, fixtures and control racks, creating a flexible system capable of delivering the different looks and moments required throughout the show.

The staging and set package included lit IBCs and stage decking reaching seven feet high, helping create the scale and visual impact needed to bring the production design together.

We also supplied radio microphones and a Sound Engineer for show week, providing audio support from the final preparations through to the performances.

Five Years in the Making

What made this production particularly special was the story behind it. Originally conceived during lockdown, the idea developed over five years before finally making its way onto the stage.

Seeing the production move from an initial idea to a complete show – designed, built, rigged, lit, performed to audiences and eventually packed away once more was fantastic to be a part of.

A huge thank you to Stamps Theatre, The Core Theatre and everyone involved in the production for having Production LX along for the journey.

From concept to curtain call, we love helping creative ideas become reality.
